In November 2020, Corydon Converting purchased a new shrink-wrap line. According to owner Bob McCaffrey, “Corydon’s investment in a new shrink wrap line increases our efficiencies and open us up to opportunities that we had to pass on in the past.”
The state-of-the art sealer is PLC controlled, with solid seal blades with rounded corners, an adjustable pin perf for air evacuation, horizontal and vertical eyes, and has a closing conveyer and variable speed settings. The shrink tunnel features PID temperature control, a variable speed conveyor, variable speed air control, and a convection air heating system.
Sealing equipment is designed to seal packages ranging from 4 inches long x 2.375 inches wide x .125 inches tall to 17.75 inches long x 13.75 inches wide x 4.75 inches tall.
